an artist who creates as a means of activism and advocacy for social justice.
I’m Fati Zulaikha (they / them), a multimedia artist based in Los Angeles, CA.
My creative work meets at the intersection of advocacy for wellness and social justice. I work with pencil and Photoshop as equally as with communities and care. Recently, I served as the graphic designer for the Laband Art Gallery where I crafted the visual identities of exhibitions. I have also had the opportunity to be a Getty Marrow Undergraduate Institute intern for St. Elmo Village, where I facilitated youth art workshops, managed community outreach, produced graphics, and assisted in production of the annual student showcase. In my free time, I exercise my spirit with yoga and meditation, and exercise my heart with involvement in organizations focusing on racial and restorative justice, LGBTQ+ identity, and mental health.
